Children's Miracle Network
How It All Began
Children’s Miracle Network started 22 years ago as a small television
fundraiser in Provo, Utah, and has grown to become the world’s leading
children’s charity, raising more than $2.2 billion for hospitalized children -
most of which is donated a dollar or two at a time by individuals throughout
the United States and Canada.
The Saint Francis Connection
In the fall of 2004, the Children’s Miracle Network named The Children’s
Hospital at Saint Francis as its regional affiliate for northeastern Oklahoma.
As the only hospital in the Tulsa area to benefit from the Children’s Miracle
Network, The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis serves children from all over
the country, but the majority of patients come from counties in southern
Kansas, western Arkansas and northeastern Oklahoma.
The Children’s Miracle Network consists of 170 children’s hospitals and
research institutes, 75 corporate sponsors, 180 television stations and 135
radio stations. Every year, The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis and other
Children's Miracle Network hospitals throughout the country treat 17 million
children for every disease and injury imaginable.
The Children’s Miracle Network provides financial assistance to its member
hospitals through special events and fundraisers, media partners and corporate
volunteers working together to ensure the health of children nationwide. One
hundred percent of these locally raised funds stay in the area to benefit
children at the community’s designated children’s hospital.
Your support of Children's Miracle Network and The Children’s Hospital at Saint
Francis helps ensure children have the specialized care they deserve - 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year -- when and where they need it.
